Aadharshila Designs Pvt. Ltd. (ADPL), a 25 years old architectural design firm started its journey in alternative building technologies and soon diversified into a spectrum of projects ranging from institutional campuses, housing and infrastructure facilities, corporate offices and interiors, industrial plants to specialized projects such as airports and convention centers. This diversity of experience has helped us in ADPL win many awards and accolades.
founders
The company was formed in 1991 by Jyotimitra and Sundeep Khushu. They came together in a collaborative effort on a small but interesting project.
This was a small farm house to be built incorporating eco-friendly building technology with unbaked mud blocks made from earth dug out from the site itself. In 1994, Pratibha joined the firm bringing with her the experience of environmental and ecological planning. With this solid foundation and ideology, they formed Aadharshila Designs Pvt. Ltd. (ADPL).
Jyotimitra Raghuvansh Founding Principal
Jyotimitra graduated in Architecture from Indian Institute of Technology IIT, Roorkee and later did MBA from Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT. He is a member of the Council of Architecture and a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Architects.
Jyotimitra is also a Research Affiliate with MIT Media Lab working on City Science Initiative. In 2013, he initiated City Science India, group studying urban growth pattern of Indian Cities leveraging the advances in big data analytics, sensor technology and living lab experiments.
Sundeep Khushu Founding Principal
Sundeep Khushu graduated in Architecture from School of Planning & Architecture SPA, New Delhi. He is a member of the Council of Architecture and a fellow of the Institution of Valuers.
Sundeep has a keen interest in Sustainable Design and is an Accredited Professional of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). He has been a visiting faculty at TVB School of Habitat Studies, GGS Indraprastha University and School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi since 2002 teaching building construction.
Pratibha Founding Principal
Pratibha graduated in Architecture (Hons) from the School of Planning & Architecture SPA, New Delhi. She was also associated with renowned organizations like Center for Environmental Studies and Delhi Urban Arts Commission.
While she moved on from this world in 2011, her contributions were and always will be a pillar of strength for ADPL.
